Boy Crown

1. Cut two 12" x 3" strips of blue cardstock. Adhere together into one long strip, hold around head, and cut off excess. (My sample crowns are cut one 12" strip and one 10" strip with a 1/2" overlap for adhesive at both connections, which results in 21" crown.) Decorate before adhering other side.

2. Using triangle squeeze punch, go along top border. Since the punch allows you to see exactly where you are cutting, line up the bottom of the triangle with the edge, and the side with the previous punch. Easy!

3. Punch white circles using pop-up punch. to adhere to each point. I punched a back for each one, also, for a finished look.

4. With my boys, I've had my share of train birthday parties! So I decided to add a small train detail under every other "jewel". If desired, punch trains from black cardstock using teeny tiny punch and adhere to center of circles.

5. Top each circle with a rain dot.

6. Add name to front with letter stickers with border sticker below at rim.

7. Adhere other side of crown together. If desired, add a small piece of tape inside each connection for added durability.

Girl Crown

1. Cut two 12" x 1" strips of pink cardstock. Adhere together into one long strip, hold around head, and cut off excess. (My sample crowns are cut one 12" strip and one 10" strip with a 1/2" overlap for adhesive at both connections, which results in 21" crown.) Decorate before adhering other side.
2. Using Ultra ShapeXpress and template on craft mat, cut one 5.25" x 2.75" triangle and two 4.25" x 2.25" triangles from purple cardstock.
3. Adhere to front of crown as shown with side points at top of crown band. Trim off excess from bottom. 4. Using Clouds edgers, cut 1/2" strip of pink cardstock and adhere to rim of crown.
5. Punch six yellow circles with squeeze punch and adhere to front and back of each point.
6. Add rain dot to front of each circle and inside each scallop under triangles on front of crown.
7. Add number sticker to front.
8. Adhere other side of crown together. If desired, add a small piece of tape at each connection for added durability.
