Thanksgiving Dinner Placecards

I love placecards on my dinner table for the holidays, but often don’t find time to make them in addition to preparing dinner.  This year, I got a head of the rush and made up a set using Heidi Grace Designs inspiring Harvest Row papers and embellishments. 

 

Difficulty rating

Required supplies:

-Foam Dots

-Tape Runner

-Softgrip Craft Knife-Coastal

-Round 'n Round - Large

-Desktop Rotary Trimmer

-Scallop Paper Edgers

-Heidi Grace Designs: 12-72779 Harvest Row – Décor Stripe

-Heidi Grace Designs: 12-72780 Harvest Row – Mono Floral

-Heidi Grace Designs: 12-72715 Harvest Row – Printed Flowers

-white cardstock

-black marker - ultra fine tip
 

Instructions (Print version)

1. Trim white cardstock and ‘Décor Stripe’ cardstock (solid side) 4.5”long x 4”wide. Fold both pieces in half. Trim bottom FRONT edge of green with Scallop Paper Edges.  Mount Green on top of white at fold, making sure that white edge peeks through bottom front of placecard. (see photo)

 

2. Trim 4” orange stripe from ‘Décor Stripe’ cardstock. Mount on front of green horizontally. (see photo)

 

3. Squeeze Punch 1 sunflower circle from ‘Mono Floral’ cardstock. Use Craft Knife to distress outer edge.  Attach small Printed Flower to center of circle with brad. Adhere to left side of green card with Foam Dot.

 

4. Use fine point marker to outline edges and personalize placecard.

The 3-in-1 Embossing Corner Punch is a great way to add some elegance to your invitations. Sand over the embossed areas to make them really stand out!

Required supplies:

-3-in-1 Triple-sized Embossing Corner Punch - Anchors Aweigh

-Tool Taxi

-Desktop Rotary Trimmer

-Heidi Grace Designs : 12-72640 Harvest Row Shapes Cardstock Stickers

-Heidi Grace Designs : 12-72673 Harvest Row Journaling Alphabet

Instructions (Print version)

1. Use a computer to print out the text of your invitation on cardstock, leaving the words "Thanksgiving Dinner" out so that you can fill it in later.

2. Add rub-ons using the rub-on stylus on the tool taxi that spell out "Thanksgiving Dinner" to the blank space left on the invitation.

3. Use a paper trimmer to trim off excess paper around the invitation.

4. Punch the four corners of the invitation with the 3-in1 Embossing Corner Punch.

5. Sand the embossed areas on the invitation, as well as around the edges of the paper.

6. Matte the invitation on a a piece of Harvest Row Harvest Flower patterned paper, and sand around the edges of this paper.

7. Sand around the edges of a circle and heart sticker and add them to the bottom of the invitation.
